Visitor's card & visitor's tax

Binz charges a visitor's tax (Kurabgabe) per overnight guest — in return you receive the visitor's card with free local buses and many benefits. Enter all travellers here and pay the visitor's tax conveniently online — plus a 2 % fee for guest registration and card handling; all amounts include VAT. We will then create your visitor's cards. Children under 3 are exempt; arrival and departure day each count as one day. By the way: dogs do NOT need a visitor's card or tax in Binz — four-legged friends need no registration here.

Important to know: The visitor's tax is not a voluntary payment but a levy required by municipal law — it applies to all overnight guests. The visitor's card is checked regularly around town, for example on the beach or the promenade; anyone unable to show one must expect a fine. Fortunately, you can sort it out here in just a few minutes — and enjoy Binz completely relaxed, with all guest benefits.

How it works: The visitor's cards are created digitally and delivered by e-mail. From the main guest we therefore need an e-mail address, date of birth and home address (all required). For all other travellers, name and date of birth are required. Optionally you can enter a personal e-mail address for each person – that person then receives their card directly at their own address; without one, all cards go to the main guest. We also store the main guest's e-mail address with the booking so we can send you important information about your stay.

Your booking

Main guest

The main guest receives all visitor's cards by e-mail – these details are required.

Main guest's home address

Other travellers (including children)

Name and date of birth are required as soon as a row is filled in. The e-mail address is optional – if you enter one, that person receives their visitor's card directly.

Is someone travelling with a German disability card (Schwerbehindertenausweis)? Declare the exemption here

Binz fully exempts guests with a degree of disability (GdB) of 100 from the visitor's tax — unfortunately the local bylaws do not provide a reduction for lower degrees. Once expanded, a selection field appears for each person; please carry the card with you on holiday, as it may be requested during checks.

The details are used to create the registration forms required by law and the visitor's cards. Our notes in the privacy policy apply.
